Our focus is on making AI useful in environments where the quality of retrieval, the relevance of evidence and the reliability of outputs matter. We're starting with legal services and expanding into investment banking.
Role Overview
You'll help develop the AI capabilities that underpin Aloi's platform, working across retrieval, model integration, evaluation and workflow design.
The challenge isn't simply to generate plausible outputs. It's to build systems that find the right information, ground their reasoning in relevant evidence and deliver results that stand up to scrutiny. You'll work closely with software engineers and product colleagues to turn research and experimentation into reliable production capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Develop AI-powered capabilities that transform proprietary data into useful intelligence.
- Build and improve retrieval pipelines, search systems and context-selection strategies.
- Evaluate model and system performance across realistic customer use cases.
- Improve relevance, citation support, evidence coverage and output reliability.
- Experiment with models, prompting strategies and system architectures.
- Develop evaluation frameworks to identify errors, blind spots and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate how decision patterns and outcomes can be extracted from complex information.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into production workflows.
Who We Think You Are
- Experienced in applied AI, machine learning or developing AI-enabled products.
- Comfortable working with language models and evaluating their real-world performance.
- Interested in retrieval, search, information extraction and evidence-grounded reasoning.
- Able to turn experiments into robust, maintainable production systems.
- Analytical, curious and comfortable tackling ambiguous technical problems.
- Motivated by making AI dependable and useful in complex professional environments.
Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, search evaluation, information extraction or enterprise AI is an advantage.
