Role Overview
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving difficult engineering problems and taking ownership of systems from design through to production.
You'll work closely with engineering and product colleagues to develop core platform capabilities, make sound architectural decisions and ensure our technology meets the demands of professional customers. You'll have a meaningful influence on how we build, scale and evolve the platform.
What You Will Do
- Design, build and maintain core components of the Aloi platform.
- Develop reliable services and APIs that support data-intensive and AI-powered workflows.
- Make architectural decisions that balance performance, security, scalability and maintainability.
- Work with product and engineering colleagues to turn complex requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Improve testing, observability, deployment processes and engineering practices.
- Investigate challenging technical issues and drive them through to resolution.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and engineering standards.
- Help raise the quality of the codebase and share knowledge across the team.
Who We Think You Are
- An experienced software engineer with strong foundations in software design and system architecture.
- Comfortable owning projects from initial design through to production.
- Experienced in building and maintaining production-grade software.
- Able to balance technical quality with delivery speed and business priorities.
- A thoughtful problem-solver who communicates clearly and works well across disciplines.
- Curious about AI, data-intensive systems and complex enterprise applications.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, search or AI-enabled products is an advantage.
